During the meeting both the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and the Vietnam National University used the opportunity to introduce their training programs, scientific research activities as well as implemented international projects.

Afterwards the signing ceremony of the Memory of Understanding (MoU) has been carried out formally with presented by president of VNUF prof. Dr. Tran Van Chu. The MOU was signed in the spirit of cooperation and support for mutual benefits. The two sides will development of mutually beneficial academic and training programs; exchange of staff for the purpose of teaching, research and extension; coordination of such activities as joint research, publication and transfer of technology; exchange of documentation and research material in fields of mutual interests; organization of conferences.

On behalf of VNUF, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam - Director of the International Cooperation Division expressed his thanks to Prof. Dr. Gregor Kozlowski and briefly introduced about Vietnam's biodiversity, some achievements about research and training in botany of the VNUF. Prof. Dr. Gregor Kozlowski has introduced scholarships that lecturers and students from VNUF can apply to study in University of Fribourg and some programs that both Universities can work together.

At the end of the meeting, both institutions demonstrated their strong belief in the closer collaboration and committed to expanding relationships in multiple areas. On the same day, Prof. Dr. Gregor Kozlowski and delegation visit the botanical garden of the VNUF.
