Strengthening international cooperation in training, scientific research and exchange students with the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan

From the 7th November to the 11th November 2017, a delegation of the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) visited and worked with the partner Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan

Regarding Vietnam National University of Forestry, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Tran Van Chu - President of VNUF, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam- Director of International Cooperation Division, Ms. Dong Thi Mai Phuong – Director of Finance and Accounting Division, and Ms. Vo Thị Thu Hien - Official of        Finance Department, MARD.

Regarding Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, there were the presence of Prof. Dr. Hiroyuki Ono – President, Prof. Dr. Takayuki Okayama – Vice President, Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Chiba – Dean of Agriculture Faculty and Prof. Dr. Ryo Fanada  – Director of International Cooperation Division, Prof. Dr. Shingo Kawai – Dean of Agriculture Faculty, Division,  and Dr. Junko Sugaya - Director of International Cooperation Division.

During the visit several cooperation programs with the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology were intensively discussed. The two sides discussed on cooperation in training, scientific research, technology transfer with special focus on high-quality training by English and give cooperation programs in the coming time such as exchange programs for lecturers and students; high quality training programs; implementation of international projects and develop project programs with JICA and Japanese organizations.

The important content agreed between the two parties include: Develop a training plan for the master's program in forestry, forest resource management and environmental sciences .

Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology invited Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam presented to the scientists, lecturers, postgraduate students and undergraduate students about plant and plant resource management in Vietnam. Scientists have greatly appreciated his report and believe that more students from other countries will be carrying out further research.
